After a 40-year career in corporate public affairs, I returned to my journalistic roots in 2022, reigniting my passion for storytelling. My journey back to journalism began with assisting my longtime friend Greg Haynes in converting his book, Heeey Baby Days of Beach Music, into an eBook. Inspired by the rich history of music in the South, I penned an article for a regional magazine titled White Fraternities and Black Music in the 60s, exploring the vibrant world of national and regional R&B bands that shaped the culture of the era. The article went viral and was reprinted in a UK music magazine.
